A Grade: We had a bye this weekend ~Butch

B Grade: Saturday we played Sturt again. We fielded extremely well for 6 innings behind Mel Leinerts pitching 7 (k’s)1 hit going into the 7th innings 2-1 in front with a chance to turn our season around. But the young Sturt side took advantage of some too careful fielding and they also come up with 5 last innings hits. To win 7’2. Our batting is deplorable at the moment, but that can and will have to change if we are to play finals. Guess what? Batting practice this week. No one’s position is safe. . See you next week

C Grade: C Grade played another double header on Saturday. The first game was against a strengthened Seacombe side. We welcome the inclusion of Spider who will fill in for us when we are short. We managed to get 1 run but unfortunately so did they. The game ending up a 1-1 draw. Our second one for the season. The second game was against Legends, Naoko did a great job pitching rubber as her screw balls, drops and change ups were working well. Unfortunately we didn’t bat as well as we can and ended up going down by 1. Final score 4-3. ~Lynnie

D Grade: Nothing received

U17 Black: Nothing received

U17 White: Unfortunately we had to forfeit this week. see you all next week. ~Lynnie

U15’s: We played an improving Sturt Blue team this week. Our team had to adapt to a slightly slower pitcher and it took a few turns at bat before we struck her hard. Taylor pitched to Charlize and they made an excellent combo. Kayla coming in to close out was good too. We missed a few signals this week and our base running still needs work with this awesome side – there is loads of potential left to show. ~Chilli
